The Mill Adventure achieves PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider status

Milestone strengthens payment data security for operators as platform provider expands across regulated markets.

Technology-focused platform provider The Mill Adventure (TMA) has achieved PCI DSS v4.0 Level 1 Service Provider status, providing operator partners with additional assurances around the security of payment data across its platform.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a global security standard for organisations that store, process, or transmit payment card data, setting out technical and operational requirements designed to protect sensitive payment data. Level 1 represents the highest level of PCI DSS validation for service providers and requires an independent assessment of the security controls in place.

For operators, the certification provides further assurance when conducting due diligence and reviewing the security capabilities of their platform partners. While PCI DSS does not replace an operator’s own security or wider compliance responsibilities, level 1 status recognises how payment card data is protected within TMA’s environment.

The achievement forms part of The Mill Adventure’s wider security and compliance framework, building on its ISO 27001:2022 certification. TMA also completed its latest ISO 27001:2022 audit with zero non-conformities or comments, demonstrating the company’s broader commitment and continued focus on maintaining strong security practices across its operations.

This milestone follows TMA’s recent GLI-19 certification, reinforcing the platform’s technical and compliance readiness as upcoming market entry in Ontario draws closer.

Gerardo Prieto, Chief Information Security Officer at The Mill Adventure, said:

Achieving PCI DSS Level 1 is the culmination of months of intensive work across the business and represents an important landmark in our continuous commitment to payment data security. As the highest level of PCI DSS assessment for service providers, it provides our partners with further assurance around the strength of our controls and processes.

This achievement is a testament to the company-wide effort behind our security programme and gives us a stronger foundation to build trust with our partners as we continue to grow across regulated markets.
